420 Degreez (The Lost Tapes)
We're really excited to share this...
Back in the day, Sacramento had a sound that didn’t fit anywhere. Too slow for the club, too honest for radio, and too loud for your aunt’s Camry. This emerging sound defined an era in Sacramento. When the times were fast and the smoke was loud. Thankfully this sound was recorded on a set of master cassette tapes but were assumed to be lost forever.
The tape was called 420 Degreez because our high asses thought temperatures don't even go up that high (they do). Which would explain why our frozen pizzas were so soggy. Anyway, back then, the crew went by a rotating list of aliases like Terp Daddy, Young Indica, and Lil Nug. We were collectively known as The Delivery Boyz. Our unique sound combined to create a new type of hip-hop fusion called Smokewave.
The original run of tapes went missing somewhere between a warehouse move and a landlord who “doesn’t do storage.” But after taking some edibles and finally cleaning out our closet, we actually found them! That's why, today we’re releasing the legendary 420 Degreez from the original session recordings.
We hope you love these songs as much as we loved creating them (allegedly).

We lied about the tape, but the playlist’s real.
April Fools from Humble Root
420 Degreez Vol. 1 isn’t a real mixtape. We made the whole lost-tape thing up for April Fools. The Spotify playlist is real though: actual songs, real link. Everything else was us goofing.
